There are certain rules and regulations that need to be met in order for you to do your test. Please read the rules carefully, and make sure you have everything ready well before your test.
Failure to fully comply with all test rules may lead to immediate test termination, either during or after the session. If setup issues are identified before the test begins, you may reschedule through Support by paying an administrative fee; however, any violations during the test will require you to purchase a new attempt to continue.
đź’ˇTip: We recommend watching the test-taker experience video to get familiar with the testing process.
Your room
Make sure you're in a quiet, well-lit, enclosed room by yourself. Try to avoid open areas like large living rooms or open-plan kitchens.
The door must be visible behind you on camera during the test. If there are any glass walls, windows, or doors, they should be covered and positioned directly behind you.
Interactions during the test
Please stay silent and work independently during the test. That means no talking or reading out loud, even to yourself.
Accessories and jewelry
Headphones and earbuds aren't allowed. It's also not possible to wear watches (smart or traditional). You are allowed to wear prescription glasses.
Your desk
Sit at a clean, clear desk or table—no tablecloths or decorations, just a simple surface to work on. Only one chair is allowed in your testing space.
You're welcome to bring three sheets of plain scratch paper, three pencils, and one eraser. Keep in mind that you have to show both sides of all your scratch papers before your test starts. You will have to destroy your notes in front of the camera when you finish the test.
Just a heads-up: pens aren't allowed during the test.
Other
Breaks aren’t allowed during the test—this includes toilet breaks, so please plan ahead.
No food is allowed during the test, but you can have a clear bottle or glass of water nearby if needed.
Make sure your laptop camera shows your full face, your hands, your scratch paper, and anything you're writing on throughout the exam.
Your phone should stay behind you, where it's visible in the webcam and out of reach the entire time.
Try to keep your eyes on your screen or your scratch paper—this helps avoid any confusion during review.
And finally, put your computer on a charger so you don't ran out of battery during your test.
