Scheduling the exam

Scheduling your OMPT exam can be done in 7 simple steps. Keep reading for step-by-step instructions.

Step 1: Log into your account

Log into your OMPT account here. If you don't have an account yet, create it here.

Step 2: Purchase an OMPT attempt

Purchase your exam in the Store tab. You can either purchase a bundle or a single exam attempt. 

Step 3: Go to ProctorU

In the "Exam info & access" class, click on the "Go to ProctorU" button. 

After you click on this button, you will be taken to the ProctorU platform in order to complete the registration for the exam with our proctoring partner.

Step 4: Fill in your information

You will be asked to fill in information.

❕Please note: Make sure to fill in a functioning email address and phone number for your contact, so that the proctor can reach you. Fill in the correct time zone, since this time zone will be used when scheduling your test. 

Step 5: Install the Guardian browser

Click on "Download Guardian". 

Once it is downloaded, install it on your computer.

Step 6: Test your equipment

Click on "Test Your Equipment".

In the pop-up browser, choose "Open Guardian Browser".

Use this page to test your microphone, camera and speaker. 

Step 7: Schedule your session

Back on the overview page, find the exam you wish to schedule and click on "Schedule".

If you didn't fill in all your information correctly in step 4, you will get another notification asking you to update your account. 

You can now choose a date and time for your exam. 

❕Please note: It is not possible to schedule an exam less than 72 hours after your purchase. 

Please ensure you plan well in advance and allow minimum of 72 hours window between your purchase and the time you want to take your test. This is a live system, therefore proctors' availability can change anytime, please ensure to secure your appointment in advance.

❕Please note: ProctorU now offers a Premium option that allows you to schedule your exam in less than 72 hours, however an extra charge applies for this service.

Make sure to submit your request, otherwise your date and time won't be saved.
