In order to book an exam you will need to sign onto you OMPT account, you can access it here.
Please familiarise yourself with important exam information available under Test Taker tab on the OMPT website.
In order to schedule your exam please follow the step by step process below:
Firstly, you will need to have purchased the necessary exam in your Store tab. Once this step is completed you will need to select 'Exam info & access' class and follow the 'Go to ProctorU' button below.
After you have clicked on this button you will be taken to ProctorU platform where you will need to complete the registration for the exam with our proctoring partner. The account is almost ready, however you will need to follow a few steps and double check your details.
Please ensure to provide your correct contact information , so ProctorU can reach out to you if required.
At this step you will be required to download the Guardian browser in order to complete pre-exam procedure and start your exam.
At this step you will be able to Test your Equipment, you will have this option available in your dashboard. Please complete this step so you can be sure that your set up will work on test day.
After completing the equipment test you will then be taken to the exam dashboard, where you can see the exams you have purchased. You can now click on the 'Schedule' button to schedule your exam appointment.
Before you select your prefered date and time you will be asked to update your account. Please click on 'update your account' link highlighted in red.
Please ensure to enter your correct phone number and Time Zone. Time Zone should match location from where you are planning to take your test.
You will then be taken to the scheduling window. Please select the date and time that is convenient for you.
YOU CANNOT SCHEDULE AN EXAM IN LESS THAN 72 HOURS AFTER YOUR PURCHASE.
Please ensure you plan well in advance and allow minimum of 72 hours window between your purchase and the time you want to take your test in order to avoid disappointment. This is a live system, therefore proctors' availability can change anytime, please ensure to secure your appointment in advance.
ProctorU now offers Premium option that allows you to schedule your exam in less than 72 hours, however an extra charge applies for this service.
Once you schedule your exam appointment you will receive an email confirmation. You can also see the countdown to your exam appointment. If you need to cancel and reschedule your appointment you can view more information here.
If you choose to reschedule your appointment the exam will then change on your dashboard to reflect this.
Please ensure to click on Check your exam rules button prior to your exam to familiarise yourself with this information.
On your exam day, open the Guardian browser and log in to your OMPT profile (copy and paste the following link in the browser: https://app.omptest.org/login/ ).
Follow the ‘Go to ProctorU’ button under the Exam info & access class. Your scheduled exam will be available on the dashboard. You can click on your active exam - this will start the authentication pre-exam procedure.
Please memorize your OMPT login details before the exam; you will need them to access it.
Once this step is completed your proctor will navigate you to the exam site. You will need to click on the the Start button in order to start the exam.

Disconnection: In the event of disconnection, you can simply navigate to the exam overview page and click on the ' Reconnect with ProctorU' button. Please do not click on this button if you are connected to your proctor. You may be signed out from the session. Therefore, you may need to close the tab, log back into your OMPT profile, and click on the 'Reconnect with ProctorU' button there.
Please note it's the Test Taker's responsibility to reconnect with Proctor.
In order to see the exam overview and submit the test please click on the button in the top left corner of your exam. (Marked in purple below). You can then click on the 'submit' button to submit your test.
Please make sure that you are familiar with this process.
To prepare for your ProctorU exam appointment, please take the following steps:
- Download the Guardian Browser.
- Ensure you meet equipment requirements and test your equipment in the ProctorU dashboard.
- Watch the test-taker experience video .
- Review your exam’s rules and permitted resources before your exam and clear your testing environment of unpermitted materials.
- On your exam day, open the Guardian browser and log in to your OMPT profile (copy and paste the following link in the browser: https://app.omptest.org/login/ ). Follow the ‘Go to ProctorU’ button under the Exam info & access class. Your scheduled exam will be available on the dashboard.
- Please memorize your OMPT login details before the exam; you will need them to access it.
- Ensure all other applications and browsers are closed, and your operating system is updated to the latest version.
